Floodace, LLC is a niche civil engineering firm based in San Antonio, Texas Metropolitan Area. The company specializes in flood analysis, Infrastructure Asset Management, and custom GIS automation. Floodace has emerged as a leader in H&H 1D/2D modeling, GIS automation, and custom GIS web applications. The company serves as a consulting engineer for many firms in Texas to provide drainage support and solutions for complex flooding issues. Floodace also consults with municipalities for management of infrastructure such as pavements, sidewalks, alleys, drainage, water, and wastewater assets.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Drainage Engineer. The Drainage Engineer will be responsible for designing and analyzing drainage systems, preparing flood studies, drainage reports, conducting site visits, and collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders. The Drainage Engineer will also be responsible for managing projects and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
- 0-4 years’ experience in drainage design and analysis with EIT certification
- Proficiency in H&H 1D/2D modeling using HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS and GIS
- Experience in CLOMR / LOMR preparations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other engineers and stakeholders
- Experience in floodplain analysis and reclamation
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
